To all the Abrahamic faiths you hold a prestige to visit once a life time.
Oh Jerusalem how I loathe you, falling into the hands of the Jews,
the tribes that once made the place lovelorn, who were expelled from their homes,
once before are now settled not so far from the west bank.
Oh Jerusalem! How could I let go of it? When I know how high my heart has regard for you?
Answer me thou! how to let go of something you fondly love so much?
love for you has no parallel, for you are my bait-ul-maqdas. Al-Aqsa my very first Qibla,
the first house of Abraham's beloved God.
Here I weep to you being lost to the Jews, we Muslims have forever revered you,
loved you, and taken care of you, until it got out of our hands,
Oh Jerusalem! what have you turned in to? Once you were in your rich glory,
how about now? seems everything has changed now.
Now that I have made no secret of my devotion, I welcome the old inhabitants of Jerusalem,
to the people of Israel, I welcome thee,
but be careful with what you get hold of now, for it is a no play thing,
yes, Jerusalem is a city of its own, with a soul as aged as Moses,
since the time of Moses, to the year of their expelling,
the city has seen a continuity of bloodbath, over and over again,
in the name of religion, true religion,
the city is sacred to me, for it's rich history & status in the three faiths,
The land where one of the best of men had walked,
Jesus of Nazareth, I make no secret of how much I adhere to the love of that man,
the man of miracles, the man who himself was a miracle,
who ascended into the Heavens, till he revisits the Earth next
From Moses to Jesus, and now to Muhammad,
the Finality of Prophethood couldn't be compiled, unless the story of Night's Journey be told,
as Muhammad was to be ascended into the top most of Heavens,
it was necessary for him to first visit the sacred most city in Abrahamic faiths.
In Jerusalem, he met and greeted and lead all the Prophets of Islam,
Muhammad's devotion for Jerusalem was unique, the essence of it can't be measured in words,
For few years Salah was made facing the direction of Jerusalem,
until only God allowed them to pray towards Kaaba.
Thus the first of Muslims held it dearly to the idea of conquering the Holy Land,
& did they succeed. Umar Ibn Khattab was invited for a pact of peace, and surrendering the keys,
Umar the Caliph, personally visited Jerusalem, and held Jerusalem dearly to his heart,
he also gave his peace to every citizen, none to be dislocated.
What can be more precious than the city of Prophets itself?
Where the temple of Jews is located,
the mega-architectural wonder once stood tall in all of its glory,
destroyed once built again, only for it to go with no structure for thousands of years.
The very land Christ walked upon,
the very place where he preached in masses,
only until the time came for his ascension, up & away in the Heavens,
the place of Holy Sepulcher is right within the city as well.
The very land where the first mosque's built,
the land that was destined to be the Greatest lore of Muslim faith,
none could make it part, the love that you have in your heart,
the holiest of holy sights in Islam.
Oh Jerusalem, be proud for you are in want,
nobody could deny your want, be proud the city of Solomon,
for you're loved, revered, and people devote to you,
stand tall again, for this is no time to weep.
